Grammys CEO Responds to BTS Boycott, Defends New Category

Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. said he was "saddened" by BTS's decision but respected it, defending the Asian Pop category as a way to celebrate artistry from the region. He clarified that submitting in a genre category doesn't bar an artist from also competing in General Field categories like Album or Record of the Year.
