Espa Winter, First Runner for ‘Madam Ok’ OST

Aespa's Winter will be the first singer to sing the OST for the drama 'Madam Ok'.

The first OST 'Dedication Yeonseo' of JTBC's new Saturday-Sunday drama 'Madam Ok' (written by Park Ji-sook, directed by Jin Hyeok) in which Winter participated in singing, will be released through various online music sites at 6 PM on the 1st.

'Honjeongyeonseo' is a lyrical and grand-scale song that symbolizes the passionate love between the male and female protagonists, and is characterized by the fantastic sense of space created by the combination of a huge taiko and orchestra. Music director Jeong Ye-gyeong directly wrote the lyrics, composed the song, and participated in the production, delicately capturing the desperate sincerity of the two protagonists who cannot say that they love each other even though they love each other.

In particular, Winter's voice, which is clear and gives off a more sorrowful feeling, emphasizes the mood of the song and multiplies the pure love of the two main characters. Here, lyrics such as "Even the heart that I tried to keep locked up is looking for a lover / Let me live as a human being" are expected to add to the desperation when combined with Winter's tone.

Winter debuted as a member of the group aespa in 2020 with the digital single "Black Mamba." They made a comeback on October 21 with their fifth mini-album "Whiplash," and their title song "Whiplash" is showing an unrivaled presence by ranking at the top of Melon's "TOP 100" chart.

'The Tale of Lady Ok' is a drama that depicts the fierce survival fraud story of Ok Tae-young (played by Im Ji-yeon), a woman whose name, identity, and husband were all fake, and Cheon Seung-hui (played by Choo Young-woo), a celebrity who risked his life to protect her. It has been receiving favorable reviews from viewers since its first episode for its captivating acting and storyline.
