Ive, Billboard officials' ranking of 'K-pop Album of the Year'
2024.12.11 00:22
At the same time, 'Alive' ranked 19th on the 'Top Album Sales' chart, and Ive solidified his presence by coming in 44th on the 'Artist 100' chart. Ive also proved his global influence once again by being named on the '25 Best K-Pop Albums of 2024: Staff Picks' selected by Billboard officials for his second domestic EP album 'Ive Switch'.
Ive's undying popularity can also be seen in the annual chart of Tower Records in Japan. According to Tower Records, Ive ranked 8th with "Alive" and 14th with "Ive Switch" in the "2024 Best-Selling K-Pop Top 20," standing tall as a leading K-pop player, the only girl group to have both Korean and Japanese albums on the list.
Ive's second Japanese album, 'Alive', topped the Oricon 'Daily Album Chart' (August 28-30) as soon as it was released in August, and also broke its own record by surpassing the sales of its first Japanese album, 'Wave', released last year.
