G-Dragon's music and music video to be sent to space

[My Daily = Reporter Park Seo-yeon] Singer G-Dragon (Kwon Ji-yong) is sending his music into space.

On the 9th, his agency Galaxy Corporation announced, "G-Dragon will take on the challenge of transmitting his own music and a music video (MV) produced with Microsoft and Azure OpenAI's Sora into space in collaboration with AI entertainment company Galaxy Corporation and KAIST."

His latest attempt, as he is also a visiting professor at KAIST's Department of Mechanical Engineering, is expected to become a future milestone for 'entertech', which encompasses space science, AI, and the entertainment field.

The 'G-Dragon Space Sound Source Transmission Project', which will be held at 8 PM on this day at the KAIST Space Research Institute, is a collaboration between Galaxy Corporation and KAIST that contains the future of entertainment technology that transcends time and space. It is evaluated as an artistic experiment that goes beyond a simple musical attempt and attempts to permanently preserve human culture in space and communicate with other civilizations.

In particular, this transmission is linked to NASA's 'Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence' (SETI) project in the United States. SETI is a historical project that transmitted the music of the British rock band The Beatles into space, and G-Dragon's space sound source transmission project is the first SETI project in Korea.
