Taeyang shared BIGBANG's Coachella stage preparations

Taeyang shared in an interview the concerns he had while preparing for Big Bang's Coachella performance. He mentioned that since the stage was set in the year of their 20th anniversary, a lot of thought was required starting from the song selection process. As a team with many songs that have spanned various eras, deciding what story to tell must not have been easy either.

Taeyang said he considered that, unlike solo tours, there are audience members at festivals who may not be familiar with Big Bang's music. After much deliberation on which songs to present to both long-time fans and those meeting for the first time, he reportedly structured the setlist to showcase the team's history. It is impressive to hear that he continued to adjust the schedule, adding and removing songs right up until the final rehearsal.

Ringa Linga was chosen for Taeyang's solo stage. He said he wanted to carry on the audience's energy by considering the atmosphere of the previous performance and the overall flow of the show. It was a new experience to realize that even if he has many favorite songs, he had to carefully consider the order and atmosphere within the limited performance time.

You can feel how thoughtfully the members considered the music and the audience leading up to taking the stage. Now that I know the interview, I want to watch the performance video again, following the flow of the setlist.
