YG Entertainment transferred all trademark rights to G-Dragon, including his stage name 'G-Dragon' and 'GD'.
On the evening of the 1st, YG Entertainment told TV Daily, "It is true that we have transferred the trademark rights to G-Dragon's stage names 'G-Dragon,' 'GD,' and 'GD' to him."
Earlier on the same day, Ten Asia revealed this and analyzed, "It seems that YG made a bold decision based on the judgment that the added value of the trademark rights would be maximized when transferred to G-Dragon." The trademark rights transfer was also carried out without any compensation.
Accordingly, G-Dragon will be able to freely use his trademark in his future solo activities.
Wow, they gave me the trademark so easily. That's fortunate.
Congratulations🎉🎉
