'18th Debut Anniversary' Big Bang, Full-scale Resumption of Activities... Topic 'Best', Reactions 'Extremely Different'

The members of Big Bang have begun to pursue individual activities. Taeyang and Daesung began their music activities last year, and G-Dragon announced his first solo album in about 7 years. While they have received attention each time they have pursued new activities, the public’s view of the members has been mixed.

The member who has been the center of attention recently is G-Dragon. This is because news has been released that he will be producing his first solo album in about 7 years, targeting the 25th. The target date for this album's release, October 25th, is even more meaningful because it is the day he was booked on drug charges last year. In addition, G-Dragon announced his appearance on tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' ahead of his comeback. The video that 'You Quiz' pre-released on the 9th only contained G-Dragon's voice, but it quickly surpassed 160,000 views, showing the public's continued love for him.

Taeyang began his full-fledged solo career in January of last year by releasing the single "Vibe" with BTS' Jimin. He then released his second EP "Down to Us" in April of last year. In particular, Taeyang proved his global influence by making it onto the Billboard "Hot 100" chart with "Vibe."

Daesung revealed his current status through MBC's 'What Do You Do When You Play?' last October. Although Daesung showed his entertainment skills through the show, some netizens expressed their discomfort by mentioning the controversies that Daesung was involved in in the past.

Former Big Bang member T.O.P will be joining Netflix's "Squid Game" season 2, which will be released on December 26. While serving as a police officer in 2017, T.O.P was tried for smoking marijuana at his home in 2016 and was sentenced to 10 months in prison and 2 years of probation. At the time, he had expressed several times that he would not return. As public opinion is still negative about T.O.P's appearance in "Squid Game" season 2, attention is being paid to whether he can deliver a convincing performance.

As Big Bang led the heyday of the second generation of K-pop, the public spotlight is focused on their every move. What kind of new heyday will they create after returning to the public?
