Run Seokjin, you're good at fencing

BTS' Jin has been recognized by the national team for his extraordinary athletic ability.

On the 27th episode of BTS's own entertainment show 'Run Seok Jin', which was posted on BTS' YouTube channel at 9 PM on the 25th, Jin's fencing challenge with 2024 Paris Olympics fencing gold medalists Gu Bon-gil and Oh Sang-wook was revealed. This episode was planned in response to ARMY's (fandom name) ardent wish to see 'Jin doing fencing'. In particular, Oh Sang-wook, who Jin met on tvN's 'Handsome Guys on Sunday' last year, appeared as a coach for a day, drawing attention. As soon as they met, they showed their friendliness by sharing an episode related to their New Year's greetings.

Jin appeared in a beautiful fencing outfit and quickly mastered the skills, acting as a 'fencing genius'. Previously, Jin had consistently challenged himself in various events such as UFC (Goodbye Seokjin), gymnastics (Gymnastics Day), and climbing (Beat Seokjin (feat. Climbing)) on 'Run, Seokjin'. Although he showed off his entertainment sense while being flustered by the high level of difficulty, he showed off the aspect of a 'sports talent stolen by K-pop' with stamina and athletic sense that exceeded expectations.

He proved his worth once again through this fencing episode. On 'Fencing Day 1', Jin began full-scale special training under the guidance of Koo Bon-gil and Oh Sang-wook. He soon surprised everyone by successfully completing the difficult mission of 'stabbing an apple with a fencing knife', which is not easy even for a national team member. In the balloon-popping competition that followed, he won against Oh Sang-wook, who was impressed by Jin's quick learning ability and praised him as "the top one among the daily members."

At the end of the video, he competed against an elementary school student player, risking his time off work. Jin actively managed the game in a more intense match than expected, and coach Oh Sang-wook applauded his talent, saying, “I acknowledge that he has athletic ability.”
