Jimin's record that only Jimin can break

At first, it was a valuable number, but as time went by, its meaning became deeper and deeper. Every time a new record was released, another eye-catching name appeared. The mark Jimin's 'Who' left on the music market was by no means a coincidence.

BTS Jimin's second album 'Muse's title track 'Who' has set a new record for the longest stay on the chart by a K-pop soloist, staying on Spotify's US Daily Top Songs chart for 270 consecutive days, the world's largest music streaming platform.

“Jimin’s record is broken by Jimin”… Jimin, ‘Who’ stays on Spotify US chart for 270 days → Longest entry by a K-pop soloist

With this, 'Who' has made a new history, surpassing the 269-day record set by Jimin's previous hit 'Like Crazy'. The record of the longest entry time for a single solo song has broken his own previous record once again, proving the saying, 'Jimin's records are broken by Jimin.'

This achievement is particularly significant in that it was achieved solely by Korean solo artist Jimin, without any special collaboration with famous Western artists, especially on the US charts. The Spotify US chart has the largest number of users worldwide, making it a very competitive stage.

'Who's' 270-day consecutive entry record is the second longest record in K-pop history, following BTS's 'Dynamite', and has been on the chart for 273 days as of April 17.

Following "Like Crazy" and "Who," Jimin has continued to lead the US market with successive hits, becoming the first and only K-pop solo artist to surpass 500 million total streams (filtered streams) on Spotify's US chart. Spotify's streaming figures are calculated excluding infinite plays, which makes them even more meaningful.

Jimin also received a hot response locally, to the point that a new word, "Jimmerica" (Jimin + America), was created. He previously topped Billboard's main single chart, "Hot 100," with "Like Crazy," becoming the first Korean solo artist to do so, and with "Who," he set another record by staying on Billboard's "Hot 100" for the longest consecutive 33 weeks as a K-pop song.

Jimin's consecutive best and longest record streak is once again proving the global status and potential of K-pop solo artists, and is exerting cultural influence.

Attention is focused on how far the record of 'Who' will continue.
