BTS Jin was sexually assaulted at a fan-only 'free hug event' held immediately after his discharge from the military.
2025.11.19 13:59
BTS's Jin completed his military service in June of last year and prepared for a special meeting with fans. The fan-only "Free Hug Event" held immediately after his discharge was a long-awaited reunion with Jin, and many fans were eagerly anticipating and showing their support. However, an unexpected incident occurred during the event. A Japanese woman in her 50s, "A," who attended the event, forcibly kissed Jin on the cheek, shocking fans and staff alike. Fans immediately raised the issue, leading to an investigation. The Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors' Office indicted "A" without detention on charges of sexual assault on November 12, and legal proceedings are underway. The court's decision is currently pending, and this incident serves as a reminder of the importance of boundaries and respect between fans and artists.
