It's awesome that the Mexican president requested additional BTS performances.

The news that Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum requested that President Lee Jae-myung add BTS to his Mexican tour once again underscores BTS's global standing. All 150,000 tickets for their scheduled concert in Mexico City this May quickly sold out, and the number of attendees exceeded one million, demonstrating the band's immense popularity. Reflecting this demand, BTS consulted with local agencies and even made a diplomatic request to the South Korean president to increase the number of concerts, demonstrating their influence beyond just a music group to cultural and economic exchanges between nations.

The concert, which will be held at Mexico City's GNP Seguros Stadium, can accommodate up to 60,000 people and has previously featured performances by world-renowned artists such as Blackpink, Twice, and Taylor Swift, adds to its significance. President Sheinbaum emphasized the historical significance of the BTS concert and also urged authorities to ensure fairness and transparency in the ticket sales process.

Fans and the public at home and abroad welcome this news, and they hope BTS will perform in more regions beyond Mexico, allowing young people around the world to experience their music and message more broadly. This request is encouraging because it goes beyond simply increasing the number of concerts; it clearly demonstrates BTS as a global icon contributing to cultural exchange and economic revitalization.

The fact that BTS plays a significant role in enhancing the nation's brand value and reaffirming its international standing also lends strength to this diplomatic request.

We hope BTS will continue to expand their cultural influence across various stages and countries, and take the lead in spreading a global message that transcends music.
