BTS' 'Arirang' comeback show, news that Gwanghwamun will be dyed in purple waves...
BTS's 5th full-length album Arirang The album title carries a strong message of wanting to promote Korean identity to the world. Forbes commented, “BTS has always put Korean identity at the center of their music,” and evaluated that the album title signifies a return to roots after a hiatus.
The choice of Gwanghwamun as a venue also holds profound significance. For Gwanghwamun, a space where communal aspirations and emotions converged throughout modern Korean history, to once again be filled with a wave of ARMY cheering sticks represents a historic moment, transcending mere performance. Researchers interpret this as "a narrative completed by the community," emphasizing that it was a moment in which BTS affirmed their Korean roots while simultaneously demonstrating their status as a cultural platform connecting with the world.
