BTS's Arirang Gwanghwamun Concert Concluded Successfully

On the evening of the 21st, Gwanghwamun Square was filled with a wave of purple light sticks. Welcome messages appeared at Sungnyemun Gate and Namsan Tower, and a drone show even unfolded over the Han River; it was truly a sight to see the entire city center in a festive atmosphere. Since the performance was broadcast live to 190 countries worldwide via Netflix, it seems like ARMYs all over the world enjoyed it together.

The stage was built utilizing the Geon-gon-gam-ri design of the Korean flag with Gwanghwamun and Mt. Bugak as the backdrop, and it was truly a spectacular sight. The performance was packed with songs, starting with the new tracks 'Body to Body' and 'Hooligan,' and extending to hit songs like 'Butter' and 'Dynamite.' In particular, when the final song 'Microcosm' rang out, the sight of the fans waving their phone lights looked just like the Milky Way, which was truly moving.

The members also seemed visibly moved by their long-awaited reunion. Jin expressed his gratitude for the wait, while Suga explained that they chose Gwanghwamun as the venue to capture Korean identity. Although leader RM had to perform while seated due to an ankle injury, it was truly reassuring and heartwarming to hear him convey his sincerity regarding this album, which is filled with honest reflections.

Even the fans who waited a long time in the cold weather were happy after watching the performance, saying that BTS is indeed BTS. Although there were some voices complaining about the slight inconvenience caused by traffic restrictions, seeing the seven members reunited at a historic venue definitely made the wait worthwhile. Now that they are starting full-scale global activities, I sincerely hope all the members stay healthy and continue their work.
