Gwangju Yangnim-dong Penguin Village is
It is said to be located at 7, Cheonbyeonjwaro 446beon-gil, Nam-gu, Gwangju.
It is a place with enough attractions to be selected as one of the Top 100 Tourist Spots in Korea.
A beautiful place with penguin sculptures and murals, along with charming old items.
It is a mural village filled with artworks in every corner of the charming alleyways.
What is unusual is that Penguin Village was originally a village that had absolutely nothing to do with penguins.
That makes sense, considering it was a hillside village inhabited only by the elderly, so there wasn't really anything to connect it to penguins.
Actually, seeing the elderly waddling up the hillside village...
The most likely theory is that they named the village "Penguin Village" because it sounded cute haha.
