RM communicated with the members while hosting a live broadcast on Weverse.
I got off work and was lying in bed, flipping through the entertainment tab on a portal news site. I saw an anecdote about BTS's RM posted, so I clicked on it, and I ended up bursting out laughing while reading it. It seems to be a story from his time in military boot camp, and I find these kinds of behind-the-scenes stories really interesting no matter when you hear them.
From what I saw, it seems he readily gave his card to his fellow trainees to buy snacks. However, the bill at the PX amounted to a whopping 660,000 won. I heard there were over 100 items on the receipt alone, and when I found out the full story, I realized they hadn't just bought snacks; they had also cleverly stocked up on gifts for their parents, daily necessities, and even snail cream. Hearing that it was the first time the POS machine at the Nonsan Training Center had ever broken down, I could picture the situation in my mind and laughed to myself for quite a while while reading it.
It was hilarious that he ended up being called into the company commander's office to explain himself because of this. I heard that when his fellow recruits came to apologize later, he coolly forgave them but still threw in a remark saying, "Snail cream is a bit much, isn't it?" I could just picture that tone, and it made him feel even more approachable. Before they went to the army, he must have seemed like such a distant superstar to everyone, but seeing him get along so warmly with them once he was actually there made me realize he is a truly genuine person. Looking at other people's comments, everyone seemed incredibly envious, saying that if they had met a fellow recruit like RM, their military life would have been so much easier. I guess everyone thinks the same way about people.
