The Swim media art featuring orcas is truly overwhelming.
It’s so fascinating and exciting to think that we can experience BTS’s 5th studio album, 'Arirang,' as a media art exhibition. I find it really interesting that it doesn’t feel like a simple merchandise display, but rather unfolds the album’s narrative and the music itself through the space.
In particular, just reading the description that 'Swim' is portrayed as seven killer whales, I can already picture the scene. I am so curious to see how the song's unique, grand, and dreamlike atmosphere was realized through media art. The fact that the entire exhibition space was expanded to resemble a music video set also suggests that the immersion will be incredible.
Even just reading the descriptions, tracks like 'Number 29,' which captures the members' silhouettes, and 'Body to Body,' which expresses a Korean sense of rhythm through red hues, feel stylish. As the overwhelming visual beauty unique to Arte Museum meets the BTS worldview, it really feels like a large-scale art project.
Above all, I am so glad that it is being held in Busan as well as Las Vegas. I think it will be a truly special exhibition for fans in that they can go beyond simply listening to music and experience it firsthand within the space.
