BTS's chances of winning the newly established Asian Pop category are high.

The Grammy Awards, a prestigious American music awards ceremony, has created a new award category targeting Asian music.

According to local media, starting with the event to be held in 2027, a total of five new awards will be introduced, including 'Best Asian Pop Music Performance,' as well as Latin and R&B categories.

In particular, the newly introduced Asian Pop category was designed to highlight songs of outstanding artistic merit among creative works featuring Asian languages, such as Korean, and various Asian musical genres, including K-pop, are expected to be nominated.

With this change, the chances of domestic artists, including BTS, winning have increased significantly.

However, there are concerns that creating an Asian Pop category, just like they created a separate Latin category, might be an attempt to exclude K-pop singers from the main awards.

I wonder if BTS will even win a Grammy Award.
