The drama <Sisyphus> starring actress Park Shin-hye
Do you know?
It is set in a future world devastated by nuclear war.
There is a scene where the female protagonist, walking through the middle of ruined Myeongdong, achieves the feat of "finding a treasure" in the middle of a desolate wasteland where nothing remains.
Finding a concert poster for BTS, the best singers of the time, before Seoul was destroyed lol
The female protagonist, unable to hide her laughter, was soon listening to BTS's 'Spring Day' and was delighted like a child.
It was the moment when viewers were helplessly captivated by Park Shin-hye's unexpected charm, the innocence hidden behind her bravery.
In addition, the production team explained that "the song 'Spring Day' inserted in the video holds a meaning beyond simply being 'a song Seohae likes.'"
In the drama, Park Shin-hye plays a character living in a future South Korea devastated by war. We can get a glimpse of the harsh world she lives in through the sight of Myeongdong, once a shopping mecca packed with people, now reduced to ruins. Even though she has to wear a gas mask due to the polluted air, has never eaten a banana because her staple diet consists only of canned food, and must endure day by day in a world overrun by thugs and warlords, Seo-hae was living her life discovering her own form of hope amidst it all.
BTS's 'Spring Day,' which represented the era before Seoul's destruction and depicted Park Shin-hye's happy past, was one of them.
While I feel proud of Seohae for not losing hope and laughter even amidst her weary days, saying "Happy Birthday, Kang Seohae," this song perfectly matches her current situation and amplifies its lyricism by conveying a message of not losing hope that she will one day meet a precious person she has parted ways with, even while reminiscing and missing them. Seohae has arrived at the present after traversing a long and arduous path to take one step closer to that hope. Now, it is her turn for a warm spring day to reach her.
The drama production team shared a behind-the-scenes story, stating, "'Spring Day' is a song of great symbolic significance to Seohae. This song, which gives hope to Seohae, was incorporated from the script planning stage, and we obtained permission from BTS to use it in the video." They added, "We ask for your interest and anticipation regarding whether a 'spring day' where flowers bloom again will come for Seohae, who lives without losing hope no matter the situation."
Even in a world devastated by nuclear war
BTS's popularity continues lol
