Japanese man who surprise-kissed Jin absent from trial??
The trial of a Japanese woman accused of giving a 'surprise kiss' to BTS member Jin began after one year and two months, but stalled.
On the 14th, Judge Lee Ji-min of the 9th Criminal Division of the Seoul Eastern District Court held the first trial for Ms. M, a Japanese woman in her 50s accused of forced sexual assault, but the trial was concluded as Ms. M did not appear.
Presiding Judge Lee said, "The defendant submitted a written statement by mail, but I am not exactly sure what it means," adding, "There is one more hearing scheduled for 11 a.m. on the 16th, so I will postpone today's session."
Ms. M is accused of kissing Jin on the cheek at a 'hug event' with 1,000 fans held at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Songpa-gu on June 13, 2024, the day after Jin finished his military service.
As Jin wore an awkward and flustered expression, Mr. M's behavior escalated into a 'sexual harassment controversy,' and netizens reported Mr. M.
The police identified Mr. M's identity through a joint investigation with Interpol, but decided to suspend the investigation in March of last year, anticipating that it would take a considerable amount of time to complete the investigation.
After Mr. M entered the country and voluntarily surrendered, the police referred him to the prosecution in May of the same year, and the prosecution indicted him in November.
It is known that for defendants of foreign nationality, trial schedules are set with a timeframe of about six months after indictment.
Honestly... as a fan, I'm ashamed of this....
In the midst of all this, is it at least a relief that they aren't Korean...?
Age isn't the important thing, but..........women in their 50s are really... as someone of a similar age group
It is truly a shameful thing, all the more so.
They already missed it, and I hear there is another memorial service today.
I wonder if they will actually attend today...
