I was so happy to hear the news that BTS once again demonstrated their global presence by performing at the World Cup final halftime show!
Following the successful completion of their European tour, they have now proven the power of K-pop at the center of the global stage.
At this performance, BTS didn't just showcase songs.
At the heart of the performance, beyond the music, the feeling of a 'festival for all of us to enjoy together' was clearly alive!
BTS appeared as co-headliners at the halftime show of the 2026 FIFA World Cup final held in New Jersey, USA. I think the symbolism of this stage was even greater given that the World Cup final halftime performance itself was a first in FIFA history!
The mere fact that BTS was present on a stage usually occupied by global stars drew the attention of both the venue and viewers worldwide. It was particularly impressive how they reinterpreted their global hit songs to suit the soccer stage, transforming familiar tunes into a completely different atmosphere.
