21 consecutive weeks in the top ranks—the truly scary thing about BTS is their longevity.

While the news of BTS ranking 21st on the Billboard charts is welcome, what is even more surprising is the fact that they have maintained a top position for a whopping 21 consecutive weeks since debuting at number one last April. Considering how much harder it is to hold a spot for a long time than to shine briefly on the charts, this is truly an incredible record. Being consistently loved amidst the fierce competition of the global music market implies that BTS's music possesses a power that makes people want to listen to it for a long time. It feels even more meaningful because this result was achieved thanks to fans around the world who continued to seek out and support their music over time. Indeed, BTS is good at setting records, but their long-running power to sustain those records is what truly makes them legendary.
