I am truly proud of the news that BTS’s "SWIM" has earned a Gold certification in the singles category from the French Phonographic Industry Association. As a fan, every time I come across such a record, I am reminded once again of just how tremendous the global influence BTS has built up over a long period of time truly is. According to the official website of the French Phonographic Industry Association, "SWIM" received the Gold certification in the singles category as of August 20. This certification is awarded to songs that have achieved the equivalent of 15 million cumulative streams based on a combination of streaming, downloads, and physical album sales. It seems particularly meaningful that this achievement was accomplished just about five months after the release of "SWIM."
It is truly amazing to hear that with this record, BTS now boasts a total of 10 songs certified Gold in the French Singles category. As a fan, I am incredibly proud to see that "SWIM" has joined the list, following already beloved tracks such as "Dynamite," "Butter," "Boy With Luv," and "Fake Love." It is also impressive that BTS, who have been loved by fans worldwide through countless performances and music since their debut in 2013, continue to demonstrate a powerful presence even after their military hiatus. It is especially welcome to see a steady stream of good news following the release of their 5th studio album, "Arirang," in March of this year.
I am also really looking forward to seeing them meet fans all over the world in person while currently on their 'Arirang' world tour. I am already excited to see what legendary moments BTS will create in their upcoming performances with their unique energy and stage presence. I sincerely congratulate them on the French Gold certification for 'SWIM,' and I hope that BTS's music will continue to be loved by even more people and that they will continue to set new records. As a fan, I am proud of their achievements so far, but I am even more excited to see the stories they will create in the future.
