Tear echoed at the Toronto concert for the first time in 7 years... and even RM's ending ment was pure emotion.
Seriously, when I found out 'Tear' was played as a random song on the second day of the Toronto concert, I went absolutely wild right from my room and actually shed a few tears...😭
I honestly couldn't believe it was ringing out at a concert venue for the first time in a whopping seven years since 2019, even as I listened to it. When *Tear* first came out, I was already choked up because the lyrics were so intense, but after learning the backstory that the members wrote it to each other during a time so difficult they even considered disbanding, it’s become a masterpiece that truly tears my heart apart every time I hear it... At first, they said they couldn't remember because it had been so long, but seeing the rap line perform it live perfectly without hitting a single lyric gave me goosebumps.
Besides, did you hear Namjoon's ending remarks?
"When I was working on 'Tear' and 'Zero O'Clock,' I was going through a tough time fighting the demons inside me, but now that it's all passed, I'm happy to be able to sing with you all again in 2026," and when they said, "It rained yesterday, but it's sunny today; I guess that's what life is like," it really touched my heart and made me feel heavy-hearted... I can't express how grateful I am and how much of a miracle it is that we have overcome so many things and can now laugh together and sing the songs from those days together like this.
It was so beautiful to see the members enjoying themselves like the happiest people in the world while watching the Rap Line's performance live. I just feel so grateful that they are by their fans' side, having grown stronger. It is a night that makes me want to be with our BTS forever, who have truly overcome all trials and are shining even brighter! I earnestly hope we can see the 'Tear' performance at the Korean concert as well 💜
