BTS has visited Peru for the first time since their debut. They are reportedly holding their World Tour ARIRANG concerts at Estadio San Marcos in Lima, Peru on the 7th, 9th, and 10th. This marks their first visit to Peru since their debut in 2013.
Lima was bustling all over even before the concert. I heard that the Santiago de Surco district decided to temporarily call Sacramento Street "BTS Avenue" for a week, from the 5th to the 11th, and even put up signs. It was fascinating that even the street name had been changed.
Attractions are also prepared. The Arco Morisco at Surco Friendship Park lit up in purple, symbolizing the team, starting on the 5th, and a light show is said to be held every day until the 11th. A BTS-themed event featuring music, light, and water screens is also reportedly taking place at Lima's Fountain of Fantasy during the same period.
On the 6th, footage was also shared of fans taking photos at the BTS pop-up store in Peru. It was impressive to see them posing in front of panels featuring black-and-white photos of the members. It felt like they were enjoying the city atmosphere before the concert.
Peru Travel, Peru's official tourism website, also reportedly took notice of this performance as an opportunity to showcase the country's gastronomy, culture, and natural landscapes. It was even more impressive to see the entire city moving together, both inside and outside the venue.
