It left a bitter taste in my mouth, as I could feel how much thought and hesitation went into personally asking fans to refrain from doing this. As an artist who is more grateful for their fans' love than anyone else, I imagine they must have felt very uncomfortable even posting something like this, worrying that it might hurt them. Nevertheless, I could feel the courage they summoned to rectify a situation that was causing harm to others. To avoid burdening the artist with such feelings of guilt, fans need to be considerate and maintain boundaries first.
