BTS, 1st place in 'Best National Singer' survey... followed by Cho Yong-pil, IU, and Lim Young-woong
2024.08.30 08:05
BTS has won the title of 'Best National Singer' of the 21st century, beating out 'King of Singers' Cho Yong-pil.
BTS was named the 'Best National Singer/Group' in an online survey conducted by Gallup Korea from August 19 to 23, commissioned by Star News, targeting 1,052 men and women aged 19 to 69 nationwide (sampling error ±3.0% points at a 95% confidence level). Cho Yong-pil came in second. This is a result that reflects the trends of the times, such as the globalization of K-pop and changes in mainstream music.
BTS, which debuted in June 2013, has grown into a global artist, becoming the first Korean artist to top the U.S. Billboard chart. Although the members are currently on hiatus due to military service, BTS's influence in the pop music industry remains strong.
IU was chosen as the 'Most Beloved K-Pop Solo Singer of the 21st Century'. IU, a leading female singer-songwriter, ranked 3rd for 'Best National Singer'. Lim Young-woong was crowned 1st for the most beloved trot singer of the 21st Century. With his strong fandom, he ranked 4th for 'Best National Singer'.

- 01CommentsThat's right, Jin's solo career is really amazing too, haha. I think he got overshadowed because there are so many other members who became producers and have hit songs. It's a shame.9412326.10.20
