Big Hit Music, the agency of BTS, announced on the 4th that the music video for "IDOL" by the group BTS has surpassed 1.3 billion views on YouTube.
The music video surpassed 1.3 billion views at around 8 AM on this day. It has been about 6 years since the music video was released in August 2018. With this, 'Idol' is the fifth BTS music video to reach 1.3 billion views.
'IDOL' is the title song of BTS's repackaged album 'LOVE YOUR SELF 結 Answer'. It ranked 11th on the US Billboard main single chart 'Hot 100' and 21st on the UK's 'Official Singles Chart Top 100'. It has gained popularity worldwide, including on the top.
The music video is set against a splendid set that borrows from Euro-Asian architecture and traditional Korean styles. The performance, which includes Korean elements such as Samulnori and Talchum, and the sensual subcultural graphic effects add to the perfection of the music video.
In particular, it won the 'Music Video of 2018' award at the 'E! People's Choice Awards' in the United States in 2018.
BTS has a total of 39 music videos with over a billion views, including "IDOL": "Dynamite" with 1.8 billion views, and "Boy With Luv" with 1.7 billion views.
That's an incredible record. 1.3 billion views is 1.3 billion views. It's amazing that this is possible. 39 music videos with hundreds of millions of views. I think this is only possible for BTS. The harmonious use of various colors makes the performance even more effective.

- 02CommentsThat's right, Jin's solo career is really amazing too, haha. I think he got overshadowed because there are so many other members who became producers and have hit songs. It's a shame.9011126.10.20
