BTS' Jimin's 'Who' has surpassed 800 million streams on Spotify, the fastest record for an Asian solo artist.
According to Spotify records on the 18th, Jimin's solo song 'Who' achieved a total of 803,114,115 streams.
'Who' achieved the amazing feat of 800 million streams in just 92 days since its release. 'Who' was recorded as the only K-pop song to surpass 800 million streams in 2024.
'Who's' record of 800 million streams in 92 days has surpassed K-pop and set a milestone for the shortest time for a solo song by an Asian solo artist, significantly shortening the record of 254 days held by 'Glimpse Of Us' by famous Japanese singer 'Joji'.
Jimin's "Who," which is making waves in the global music market while he is serving in the military, has been ranked #1 on Spotify's "Global Daily Top Songs" chart for 20 days as of October 22, has been in the "Top 5" for over 90 days, and has recorded over 832.7 million total streams.
Jimin's second solo album, "MUSE," which includes "Who," has become the K-pop solo album with the best-selling single in the United States in 2024.
As of October 22, "Muse" has been streamed over 1.5 billion times overall on Spotify. Along with his first solo album "FACE," which has over 2.4 billion streams, Jimin has become the first K-pop solo artist in Spotify history to have two solo albums surpassing 1.5 billion streams.
Meanwhile, 'Who' is a song that highlights Jimin's attractive vocals and sophisticated groove, and in its 13th week of release, it ranked 38th on the UK's main chart 'Official Singles Top 100' and 32nd on the US Billboard's main song chart 'Hot 100'.
Jimin has shined as a representative K-pop artist who has succeeded in standing alone in the pop powerhouses of the UK and the US without collaborating with famous overseas artists after leaving the group.
