On October 29th, Jin appeared on YouTube channel 'Neighborhood Star K' and was asked, "I think world stars have different thoughts on congratulatory money. Do you sometimes give a large amount?" He answered, "I give money to everyone, regardless of whether we're close or not."
Jin also suggested a standard for congratulatory gifts for those just starting out in society. Jin explained, "If it's someone you just know or a coworker, you can give 50,000 won, and if it's a really close friend, you can give 100,000 won per person. 'I gave 100,000 won' and '5 people gave 500,000 won' are the same, but they look different."
He added, "If I feel like I have some money to spare, I think up to 200,000 won is okay."
