BTS Achieves First Shortest Record in a Row on Spotify

They say BTS is rewriting K-pop history with their solo activities.

According to the UK Official Charts released on the 15th, Jin's pre-released song "Ill Be There" from his solo album Happy ranked 65th in single downloads and 73rd in single sales. The song also ranked 101st and 118th on Spotify's latest Weekly Top Songs Global and Daily Top Songs Global, respectively, entering major charts for three consecutive weeks.

Jimin's second solo album MUSE's title song Who charted on the Official Singles Chart for 17 consecutive weeks, breaking his own record for the longest charting time for a solo song. Who ranked 75th on the Official Singles Chart, 3rd in single downloads, and 5th in single sales.

On Spotify, Jimin's Who achieved 1 billion streams in the shortest amount of time among songs released by a Korean singer this year, based on the charts dated the 13th. Who is the only K-pop song released in 2024 to surpass 1 billion streams.

This song has been popular for 4 months, ranking 4th on the Weekly Top Songs Global announced on the 15th, and thanks to the success of Who, MUSE's cumulative streaming has currently surpassed 1.7 billion. Jimin's first solo album FACE, released in March of last year, has reportedly been streamed close to 2.5 billion times so far. With this, Jimin has become the only K-pop solo artist with two albums that have been streamed over 1.7 billion times on Spotify. ㅎㅎ

Aside from Jin and Jimin, other members are also said to be setting first and fastest records in the solo category.
