BTS' Jin took the Japanese music market by storm with 'Happy'.
According to the latest chart released by Japan's Oricon on the 20th, BTS Jin's solo album 'Happy' went straight to 1st place on the 'Weekly Digital Album Ranking' (compiled from November 11 to 17). Jin achieved the feat of reaching the top of the chart in just 3 days.
'Happy' ranked first on Oricon's 'Daily Album Ranking' (November 16th) immediately after its release on the 15th. The sales on the same day alone were close to 220,000 copies. In particular, 'Happy' became the K-pop solo album with the highest first-day sales among the albums collected by Oricon this year.
The title track 'Running Wild' topped the 'Daily Digital Single Ranking' (as of November 15th). In addition, all the songs on the album, including 'Until I Reach You' (9th), 'I'll Be There' (11th), 'Heart on the Window (with Wendy)' (14th), 'Geurium-e' (15th), and 'Another Level' (17th), ranked within the top 20 of the 'Daily Digital Single Ranking'.
The solo album 'Happy' contains the message of going on a journey together to find 'happiness'. Jin honestly talked about what he thinks happiness is and expressed his hope that those who listen to the new album will be happy.
=>> They say that he sold 220,000 copies of his solo album on the same day it was released on the 15th.
It's a total hit, so I think it topped the Oricon chart on the 16th.
Is this unprecedented?

- 02CommentsThat's right, Jin's solo career is really amazing too, haha. I think he got overshadowed because there are so many other members who became producers and have hit songs. It's a shame.8811126.10.20
