The music video for BTS's "Butter" surpassed 1 billion views at 11:16 PM on the 28th. It is the team's 7th music video to reach 1 billion views.

Released on May 21, 2021, "Butter" is a cheerful and upbeat song that contains BTS' cute confession that they will captivate you by melting you softly like butter. The refreshing synth pop sound captures your ears from the introduction.

The music video stands out with choreography that maximizes the content of the lyrics. The seven members emphasize the charm of the song with point choreography such as a group dance that starts with a hair-sweeping movement, a hand-kissing movement, and a step where they walk on tiptoe. In addition, the directing method and composition that utilize contrasting elements such as black and white and color, suits and sportswear, a grand stage with flashy lighting, and a gym add to the fun of watching.

BTS has a total of 39 music videos with over a billion views, including "Butter." The most-viewed are "Dynamite" and "Boy With Luv" with 1.8 billion views.
