BTS' Jin shows off his amazing talents when it comes to food.
In episode 12 of BTS' own entertainment show 'Run Seok Jin', which was posted on BTS' YouTube channel at 9 PM on the 3rd, Jin was shown visiting JDB Entertainment and engaging in a high-class food competition with comedians Hong Yoon-hwa, Kim Min-kyung, and Yoo Min-sang.
Jin became close to Kim Min-kyung and Yoo Min-sang while arm wrestling, and entered the main game in a warm atmosphere. When he heard that the topic of the competition was food, he showed a worried expression, saying that he did not have the confidence to beat those famous for being 'eating gods'. However, he lightened the mood by doing his best to guess the parts of raw meat that had been trimmed and figure out the ingredients inside kimbap after eating it blindfolded. He even surprised everyone by showing exceptional intuition in difficult food games, such as guessing the total grams of cooking ingredients just by eyeballing them. He also showed his sharp side, worthy of 'Eat Jin', when listening to ASMR of snacks, saying, "It feels empty" and "It feels like eating it all at once."
The chemistry of the four people was just as fun as the game itself. Hong Yoon-hwa and Kim Min-kyung, the famous ARMYs, burst into laughter at Jin’s small puns, impressing him. Yoo Min-sang and Jin gave a big laugh with their perfect teamwork like a ‘comedy duo’ while playing the palm-pushing game. Jin showed off his hosting skills as a program host by telling stories from his childhood related to food in between the game.
'Run Seokjin' is released every Tuesday at 9 PM on the BTS YouTube channel and can be viewed on the global super fan platform Weverse an hour later.
Jin will appear on 'Venue101 Presents JIN SPECIAL' that will be broadcasted on NHK Japan at 11 PM on the 7th. In a prior interview with the broadcaster, he conveyed the message, "I put my heart into it hoping that everyone who watches it will be happy, so please look forward to it." It has been about 5 years since Jin stood on a Japanese stage, since the BTS fan meeting 'BTS 5TH MUSTER MAGIC SHOP IN JAPAN' in December 2019.
