BTS V, 'White Christmas' released today (6th) "Happiness of duet with idol"

The carol 'White Christmas (with V of BTS)' featuring '21st century pop icon' BTS' V and legendary singer Bing Crosby will be released.

The song and music video for 'White Christmas (with V of BTS)' will be released simultaneously worldwide on December 6th at 2 PM.

This song and music video is the second winter gift from 'Winter Boy' V, who has been releasing a winter song every year, following the digital single 'Winter Ahead (with PARK HYO SHIN)' released on November 29th.

V reinterpreted and sang part of Bing Crosby's 'White Christmas', which was released in 1942 and is still loved by people all over the world. His jazzy voice, which suits the carol, harmonizes perfectly with Bing Crosby's vocals, and the two of them leave a deep impression on the listener.

Bing Crosby's agency Primary Wave shared the story behind the recording, saying, "We recorded the album to create a warm and nostalgic sound while also capturing V's voice that everyone knows and loves."

He continued, “Both V and Bing Crosby have baritone voices, so their singing blended naturally.”

The meeting of two musicians who transcend time was realized through the latest technology. Bing Crosby's voice in this song was not recreated with AI technology, but was delicately separated from the original album of 'White Christmas' recorded in the 1950s. Bing Crosby's extracted voice was paired with V's vocals, and a new accompaniment was added to make it sound as if the two were singing in the same recording studio. In the meticulously produced 'White Christmas (with V of BTS)', you can feel the resonance as if the two are performing live together.

V paid tribute to this perfect work. He said through his agency Big Hit Music, “I grew up listening to Bing Crosby’s ‘It’s Been a Long, Long Time’ countless times every day. I was so happy and thankful to be able to sing with my idol’s voice. Bing Crosby is my favorite jazz artist. I sang it with all my love for him, so I hope you listen to it nicely.”

The music video for 'White Christmas (with V of BTS)' was produced as an animation. The video, which features characters from Bing Crosby and V's pet dog Yeontan, can be viewed on Bing Crosby's official YouTube channel.
