BTS' Jimin and Blackpink's Jennie were named the best male and female artists of the year.
According to the results of the final voting for '2024 Pick of the Year' held from December 13th to 24th on the global fandom platform 'UPICK', BTS' Jimin (male category) and BLACKPINK's Jennie (female category) took first place.
Jimin, who is currently serving his military duty, proved his still-strong global popularity by having the title song "Who" from his second solo album "MUSE" selected for the "Biggest Impact" in "The 2024 K-pop Yearbook" published by Consequence of Sound, an American music media outlet.
Jennie also proved her presence as a global artist by topping domestic and international charts after releasing her new single "Mantra" last October, and by achieving 100 million views on the music video. Jennie especially garnered attention by being the first solo artist to be included on the lineup for the "Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival" to be held in April next year.
BTS' Jimin and Blackpink's Jennie, who won first place in the '2024 Pick of the Year', will be provided with a package of seven domestic advertisements that will be aired in Jamsil, Hongdae, Seongsu, etc. in Seoul. The advertisements will be aired using drafts created by fans themselves.
BTS' Jimin, who topped the '2024 Pick of the Year', received an additional special badge, bringing his total to five special badges and receiving the world's largest advertising package of 15 as a reward.
U-Pick, which was selected as the official voting app for the 'D Awards' to be held at the Hwajung Gymnasium of Korea University in Anam-dong, Seoul on February 22nd next year, is currently preparing various events related to the 'D Awards' voting.
Congratulations to you both

- 02CommentsThat's right, Jin's solo career is really amazing too, haha. I think he got overshadowed because there are so many other members who became producers and have hit songs. It's a shame.8811126.10.20
