영케이의 근황 인터뷰 너무 멋지네요 응원합니다.
DAY6's Young K celebrated his 10th debut anniversary by sharing his thoughts on where he stands now and how he wants to live his future. Young K recently appeared on the cover of the special edition of Arena Homme Plus' March issue, sporting a Hamilton watch and standing in front of a blue Milky Way backdrop, his signature deep gaze creating an atmospheric pictorial. Regarding his second collaboration with Hamilton, he said, "There were a lot of 10th anniversary performances and events in the meantime. I felt like I've lived well for about half a year," reflecting on the past.
In an interview, when asked to imagine Day6's 20th anniversary, Young K said, "The pace will be slower then, but I think the band will still be together and very mature." He added, "I hope all the members take care of their health so we can continue performing on stage," which was impressive as he discussed his dream of a long-lasting band alongside their health. When asked about his attitude toward music, he clearly defined it as "a vocation." He said that while he started it because he loved it, it's now a profession with added responsibility, and he confessed that he carries the weight of responsibility on top of joy and love. However, he also said, "I still want to do better and move forward," demonstrating his still-strong desire for growth as a musician in his 10th year.
The most impressive part was the line, "I've been struggling for 10 years, so now is the time to get to know myself." Young K said that his goal for this year was "meeting a lot of new people, being inspired, and feeling like I need a breath of fresh air," and that he would focus more on himself going forward. His confession, "I'm familiar with myself, but I want to take a deeper look," contains his desire to finally take a calm look at Young K himself as a person after 10 years of tireless running for his team and music. In short, the biggest keyword in Young K's recent activities is that, even amidst his 10th anniversary tour and pictorial activities, he is gradually shifting his focus from "Young K the musician" to "Kang Young-hyun the person," and is heading towards a time of self-discovery.
