Young K “I asked myself even after writing over 200 songs”… ‘Was this the music I really wanted?’

DAY6's Young K looked back on the time he spent creating countless songs and opened up about his deep thoughts regarding music.

In an interview ahead of the release of his second full-length album 'YOUNGEST', Young K revealed that although he had worked on over 200 songs during the 11 years since his debut, at some point he began to ask himself, "Is this really the music I wanted?"

He confessed that he had unwittingly been trapped within a mold due to his strong desire to live up to expectations as an artist. This album is a work created after such contemplation, and it is not about the image others want of him. Real Kang Young-hyun I focused on capturing the emotions and thoughts.
