Young K: “‘YOUNGEST’ is an album where I found what is most like me”

DAY6's Young K personally shared the meaning behind his second solo full-length album, 'YOUNGEST'.

Young K revealed that while preparing for this album, he visited his agency before writing a single song and said, “I am going to release an album called 'YOUNGEST'.” He explained that since this project began after much deliberation, the direction and message of the album were clear from the very beginning.

He described 'YOUNGEST' as “an album where I found what is most like me,” explaining that he wanted to honestly capture the emotions and thoughts of Kang Young-hyun as a person, rather than Young K as a successful artist. He stated that the process of reflecting on himself while making music and finding his true self is infused throughout the entire album.

This full-length album, released after 2 years and 10 months, contains a total of 15 songs, and Young K personally participated in writing and composing them to tell a more authentic story.
