Young K: “Behind the cool Young K is the bleeding Kang Young-hyun”… DAY6’s 10 Years, No Regrets

DAY6's Young K looked back on his 10 years since debut and shared his honest feelings about the relationship between artist Young K and human Kang Young-hyun.

In an interview, Young K revealed his inner self, which he had kept hidden for a long time, stating, “On the outside, I was always the cool Young K, but behind that, there was Kang Young-hyun enduring while bleeding.” He revealed that although there were many difficult moments while running tirelessly for the team for 10 years since his debut, he has never once regretted the time he dedicated to DAY6.

He shared that the 10th anniversary of his debut gave him the opportunity to reflect on himself, and that he was able to capture his most honest story through his second solo full-length album, 'YOUNGEST.' He explained that he wanted to express through music the image of a flawed and wavering person, rather than a successful artist.

Young K emphasized that this album was not merely a solo activity, but a process of accepting himself as he is. He stated that it was a time when he could understand himself and grow through music, and expressed his wish to continue delivering heartfelt music in the future.
