Young K “I wanted to find Kang Young-hyun, whom I had lost for 11 years”… ‘YOUNGEST’ on everything

DAY6's Young K revealed that he wanted to rediscover his lost self through his second solo full-length album, 'YOUNGEST'.

Young K made a comeback on the 27th with the release of his second solo full-length album, 'YOUNGEST,' approximately two years and ten months after his last release. Regarding the album, he stated that he “put everything on the line,” explaining that it is a work imbued with great significance.

He continued, “I think I lost the human Kang Young-hyun at some point while active for 11 years,” and conveyed that he wanted to express his true emotions and thoughts through music with this album. He also added an honest confession that while the time spent as Young K of DAY6 was precious, he lacked the time to reflect on himself during that process.

'YOUNGEST,' featuring a total of 15 songs, sincerely captures the story of Kang Young-hyun as a person, including loneliness, growth, wounds, and comfort. By personally participating in writing the lyrics and composing the music, he has created music that is most authentically himself, conveying deep empathy to listeners.
