DAY6's Young K, 'Human Kang Young-hyun' Faced for the First Time in 11 Years... A Solo Album on the Brink of Everything

DAY6's Young K has returned with his second solo full-length album, 'YOUNGEST,' after about 2 years and 10 months.

Young K expressed his extraordinary affection for this album, describing it as one where he “put everything on the line.” Although he has been active for a long time as a member of DAY6 and a singer-songwriter and has received much love, this time he focused on capturing the image of Kang Young-hyun the human being, rather than his stage name, Young K.

For 11 years since his debut, he has always strived to present a solid and perfect image. However, in the process, he came to face the loneliness, worries, and emotions he had kept hidden, and he expressed those stories through music.

The album title 'YOUNGEST' also combines the 'Young' from his real name, Kang Young-hyun, with an expression signifying the superlative, conveying the meaning that it captures his most Young-K-esque and most honest self.

Featuring a total of 15 tracks, this album is a work in which Young K personally participated in writing and composing, meticulously capturing his own experiences and thoughts. Having previously written lyrics that spoke for the hearts of countless people, he has now opened a new musical chapter by singing his own story.
