Young K's 2nd full album, YOUNGEST, has surpassed 140,000 copies in first-week sales.
Since news of Young K's solo tour came out, I decided to summarize the story behind his second full-length album that came out before that.
Young K released his second solo studio album, YOUNGEST, on July 27.
It seems like a lot of people have been waiting for this, as it is my first solo album in about 2 years and 10 months since my first full-length album, Letters with Notes.
The title track is 'Shut The Door' and a total of 15 songs are included, and it is said that Young K participated in the production of all the songs.
It felt even more meaningful to me because it is the result of working on it little by little over 4 to 5 months while on the 10th anniversary tour.
The grades were also good.
It hit a career high by selling over 50,000 copies on the first day of release alone, and first-week sales exceeded 140,000 copies.
Before and after the release, there were also offline attractions to enjoy, such as truck tours touring various parts of Seoul and photo zones.
Critics also commented that it captured a more mature and profound side of Young K, and "Heading Home" was selected as a recommended song.
Personally, I found the backstory that the album title was a word they had considered for a cover project name in the past interesting.
I recommend listening to every track on the album at least once before going on tour.
