From Young K's 2nd full-length album YOUNGEST, all self-composed songs, to a solo tour
Young K has returned with his second full-length album, YOUNGEST, and has even started a solo tour. The title track is "Shut The Door," which was released at 6 PM on July 27.
This album contains a total of 15 songs, and I heard that Young K personally worked on every single one of them. It includes tracks like "Marionette," "Cheering Song," "SPIKE," "Baby's Breath," and "Coffee in the Studio," as well as "100 Reasons Why We Will Break Up," a collaboration with Jinju from DNCE. Just looking at the song titles, the atmospheres are all different, so I think it will be fun to listen to them one by one.
I also remember the concept photos released before the album came out. Unlike the first teaser, they had a dark atmosphere, and since black-and-white photos were released alongside ones with red lighting, there was a lot of talk that they seemed to be trying to show two different sides.
I heard that the solo tour kicked off at Incheon Inspire Arena from August 14th to 16th. I think it's amazing that he is holding arena concerts for three days straight as a solo artist. It was fascinating to see him consistently produce results like this while balancing DAY6 activities with his solo work.
Personally, while I like the title track, I find myself listening often to mellow songs like "Heading Home" or "Coffee in the Studio." I think this album would go well with autumn.
