Band Boom' is here... Rock spirit dominating music charts

The domestic music market, which was filled with K-pop, trot, and hip-hop, has been hit by a 'band boom'. The top spot on Melon's Top 100 chart, a domestic music platform, went to "Happy" by DAY6, a four-member male band celebrating their 10th anniversary since their debut, for 26 consecutive days from the 14th of last month to the 10th of this month. This is an example of a song from their mini-album released in March of this year after the members completed their military service, which came to light belatedly, and is the team's first number one song since their debut. The cover video by JYP Entertainment's girl group Nmix also garnered attention, but the lively melody and earnest lyrics "Can I be happy too?" resonated with people of all generations.
