Singer and actress IU has once again become a hot topic with a heartwarming story.

On the 19th, the Social Museum announced IU's surprise visit through their official SNS. According to the post, IU visited the 'Seonheul Art Workshop' in Seonheul-ri, Jeju, saying she would "quietly just look at the exhibition and leave," but in reality, she showed up like Santa carrying a bunch of gifts.

The grandmothers who welcomed IU were delighted, saying, “Ae-soon has come,” and they greeted her warmly, holding her hand tightly and saying, “What a beautiful hand,” and “What a white and pretty hand.”

What particularly caught the eye was the gift that IU had prepared herself. After calmly appreciating the grandmothers’ work, she expressed her gratitude by carefully tying the high-quality silk scarf she had prepared around each person’s neck. This scarf is a luxury brand Hermes product, and it is known to have a market price of about 880,000 won, which made it even more of a hot topic.

IU didn't stop there, and added her deep sincerity and heart by personally writing letters and delivering them to each and every grandmother.

Netizens who heard the news showed enthusiastic reactions such as, “He is a truly cool person,” “The gift is luxurious, but the thought is even more touching,” “Even his design sense is perfect,” and “I can feel the sincerity that goes into taking care of each and every one of them.”

Meanwhile, the Netflix miniseries 'Cheated on You', starring IU as 'Ae-soon', depicts the adventures and love of the 'rebellious girl' Ae-soon born in Jeju and the 'iron man' Gwan-sik over the course of the four seasons, and has been receiving steady love since its end on March 28.
