1. Why did Fantasy Boys’ Kang Min-seo send an SOS signal?

On May 3rd, during a live broadcast by Fantasy Boys and BAE173's unit 'Double One', leader Kang Min-seo was caught making a specific hand gesture (SOS hand signal) toward the camera.


At first glance, it seemed like a simple gesture, but the problem was that it was too similar to the Signal for Help, which is used internationally to mean 'help is needed.'

This signal is too shady to be dismissed as a simple prank. In particular, this signal is known to be a rescue signal used in emergency situations such as domestic violence, kidnapping, and confinement, so there is growing concern among fans.

2. 540 signal, what exactly does it mean?

Kang Min-seo's hand gesture was called that in the community because it looked like the number '540', but it actually does not mean a number, but a hand gesture that means 'Signal for Help'.

The hand gesture is like this

② Fold your thumb inward


③ Slowly wrap your thumb around the remaining four fingers and make a fist.

This gesture is a distress signal first proposed by the Canadian Women's Foundation, and it is actually used in emergency situations, as there was a case in the United States where a kidnapped teenage girl was rescued using this gesture.

3. The day after receiving the signal, Kang Min-seo did not attend the fan signing.

What's even scarier is that the day after this hand gesture came out, a notice was posted saying that Kang Min-seo would not be attending the fan video call event due to 'health issues'.
