DearU Bubble subscription fees will increase on the App Store from July 7, 2025, but the existing price will remain on the Web Store. We will completely organize the price comparison, payment method, and fee reasons in the tone of the 20s fan community!

1. When will the DearU Bubble price increase start?

DearU Bubble announced that it will be increasing its subscription fees through the App Store (Apple, Google Play) starting July 7, 2025.

This was quite shocking news for fans who subscribe to various artists' bubbles such as Playbe, Enhypen, and NCT.

for example,
- 5 Human Rights: Previously 18,500 won → 24,000 won
- 8 Human Rights: Previously 29,000 won → 38,500 won

There were many reactions saying that it was burdensome because the price went up by almost ten thousand won.

2. Price freeze in web store!

What's surprising is that there is no price increase in the web store for the same subscription.
DearU announced through their official Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) that “the web store will maintain the existing prices.”

Even the benefits are better!

- Number of replies: increased from 3 to 5
- Subscription days are also maintained in sync with the app.

3. Advantages of paying in the web store

- No price increase (maintain existing price)
- Increased number of replies (3 → 5)
- Save 30% on app store fees → More advantageous for businesses
- From the fans' perspective, it is cheaper to provide the same service.

4. What happened because of the App Store fees?

The crux of this issue is the 30% App Store commission.
Google and Apple take a percentage of in-app purchases as commission.

Platforms like DearU had difficulty affording this, so they raised prices and opened a web store payment method as an alternative.

In fact, Kakao Emoticon Plus, Wavve, Melon, etc. are also cheaper on the web store.

5. How do I pay for the web store?

1. Access the Dear You web store (dearyou.com)
2. Log in and select a subscription artist.
3. Select the desired human rights and pay by card/account
4. Be sure to cancel your existing app subscription and pay after the expiration date!

Note: Web Store payments are not possible while an App Store subscription is active.

Q&A

Q1. If I pay through the web store, will my subscription date be reset?
A. No! Your subscription date will remain linked to the app.

Q2. How many replies can I get from the web store?
A. It was announced that up to 5 is possible. That's 2 more than the App Store.

Q3. What should I be aware of when switching from an app to a web store?
A. Cancel your existing app subscription and pay through the web store after the expiration date to avoid duplicate payments.

Stop using DumbTang and switch to the web store!
