1.7M YouTuber Woowakgud, finally declares suspension of activities due to controversy over foul language and copyright! A summary of issues from the controversy over the operation of Waktabus to the supposed face photo and mention of 'red pill'!

1. Why has the controversy over foul language flared up again?

Woowakgud's past vulgar and derogatory remarks made during a live broadcast have been brought to light again and he is now under fire.

In particular, there were many criticisms that the impromptu comments were harsh when DJMAX-related content ended in 2023.
The public opinion has changed from 'It can be like that because it's an internet broadcast' to 'It can't be like that.'

2. Copyright controversy… Is the fan game ‘Waxy Max’ the problem?

The biggest incident started when it was revealed that unauthorized music was included in the fan game 'Waxy Max'.

The Korea Music Copyright Association (KMCA) took a strong stance, saying, “We will respond to the end.”
The game had an even bigger impact because it was so popular that it was downloaded about 480,000 times.

Although there were some collaborations with Neowiz, the overall cover song issue was not properly managed.
The controversy is at the heart of the distribution under the name Waktabus.

3. The operating structure of Waktaverse, fans are disappointed…

'Waktaverse' is a virtual YouTuber world created by Wakgud.
There were also criticisms that the profit-related structure, including fan games, goods, and distribution systems, was unclear.

In particular, since the apology included the expression that he would take responsibility as a ‘manager rather than a creator’,
Many people say that this is the time for a reorganization of the overall operation.

4. Summary of the apology from Wooakgud

On the night of July 6, 2025, Wooakgud posted a lengthy apology on the YouTube community.

The main point is as follows:

- I sincerely apologize to those who were hurt by my words and actions.
- Deeply reflect on comments and actions that crossed the line during broadcasting
- We plan to seriously resolve copyright issues and other related issues.
- Declaration of temporary suspension of YouTube activities

And he added to the fans, “I will think again about how I can bring you joy.”

5. Face Reveal? What's the Red Potion Controversy?

Recently, old photos that are believed to be of Woowakgud's face have been circulating in the community.

In particular, a photo taken while studying abroad at Osaka Sangyo University in 2006 was spread through the archives.
Opinions are divided among fans as to whether this is the person or not.

Of course, I have maintained the policy of not revealing my face until now.
There was no specific comment on the rumor.
