Are you curious about the ending of the webtoon/web novel <Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint>? I've compiled everything from reviews of the movie version to the presence of cookie videos and the actors' performances. Whether you're a fan of the original or a first-time reader, this one article is all you need!

1. How was the movie <Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint>?

Movies released in July 2025 <Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint> The original fantasy web novel has met the expectations of fans. The splendid casting of Ahn Hyo-seop as 'Kim Dok-ja' and Lee Min-ho as 'Yoo Joong-hyuk' was also a hot topic.

But in the end, it became a work that people either liked or disliked. Although many people said that the visual scale and CG were impressive, there were also many opinions that it was lacking in emotional connection and immersion.

In particular, fans of the original work expressed some disappointment with the changes in the early settings and the omission of emotional lines between characters.
On the other hand, some viewers who were watching the movie for the first time responded that the game elements, such as the 'status window' and 'acquiring cash', were refreshing.

2. Is there a cookie video? Do I have to watch it?

Yes! There is one cookie video.

After the movie ends and you watch the ending credits, a short cookie appears. It's a scene that seems to hint at the next story, so if you know the original, "Ah~ This is a hint for the next episode!" And you'll get the feel of it right away.

To be honest, I think whether or not a sequel will be made will depend on the box office performance. That's what the Cookie video felt like.

3. Webtoon Ending: Did Kim Dokja finally wake up?

The webtoon <Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint> is based on a web novel and has been serialized since 2020, and still has a solid fan base.
The ending is quite complicated, but here's the gist:

In conclusion, if the readers 'truly wish' for Kim Dok-ja's happiness, it is an open ending that Kim Dok-ja will survive.

The plot is complex, but the theme is simple: “The real reader saves the protagonist.”

4. The web novel ending is a little more complicated.

The web novel is divided into A (original work) and B (route featuring Kim Dokja) based on Yoo Jung-hyuk's 1863rd route.

Each character repeats regression, branching, and avatars to create a huge scenario of annihilation and exclusivity, and Kim Dokja changes places as the 'oldest reader and protagonist' and eventually becomes a dream being.

In the end, the story (Jeondoksi) that Yoo Joong-hyuk dedicates to Kim Dok-ja is unconsciously written by writers from various world lines, and one of the writer couples serializes the 'Jeondoksi' that we read.

Kim Dokja may or may not have woken up at the end of the story.
Because it ends with the last ward door opening and the system returning.

5. Honest Reviews of the Cast: Who was the most impressive?

- Ahn Hyo-seop (Kim Dok-ja): There were many comments saying that his acting skills had improved a lot. There were also responses saying that he had done a good job of conveying the lingering emotions in his characteristic expressionless face.

- Lee Min-ho (Yoo Joong-hyuk): There were many opinions that he filled the screen with his presence alone. Although he didn't have a lot of lines, there were many comments that he was a casting that was convincing because of his 'drawing style'.

- Chae Soo-bin, Shin Seung-ho, Nana, Ji-soo Although the supporting cast's character weight was somewhat disappointing, the prevailing opinion is that they each faithfully carried out their respective roles.
