On the afternoon of the 28th, Brian posted on his Instagram story a record of the DM (direct message) he had received from a malicious commenter.

The sheer volume of malicious comments sent here was shocking. The content, filled with excessive verbal abuse, underscored the psychological damage Brian had endured.

The malicious commenter in question hurled abusive language such as “Die”, “Since the snake was born wrong, he lies, gets accused, and commits all kinds of dirty deeds. Let’s see if the lie detector gives a 99% result. You devil. The world will know your lies”, “Go away, you American psycho. Disappear to North Korea. Sell products to Kim Jong-un, you worm. I’ll even file a complaint. I’ll kick you out. Report you to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. I’m a citizen of our country, so you American idiot. Get out before you make a fuss. You’re just chewing gum to me”, “I think I can live by defrauding you for 15 years. No way. I’ll make you sick. Apologize, I won’t tell anyone”, “You high school graduate, you snake, disappear. You’re trash”, “You corpse with only a mouth”, “The cockroach I hate the most. It won’t die even if you step on it. It’s dirty. Your mouth is a dirty cockroach”.

In particular, this malicious commenter made a ridiculous statement, saying, "Whether you helped me or not, if it doesn't work out for you, you're a devil who throws things away. At the time, Brian hinted at legal action in an interview with KBS 2TV's 'Entertainment Weekly,' saying, "It's not just through social media, but a package was sent to my house. They even knew my home address, so I thought it was a bit more dangerous. If I have to go all the way, I have no choice but to go."
